The SunFlow® Solution

A SunFlow® system heats your home using warm water passing through tubing embedded in the concrete floor. The layout of this tubing is designed to take into account features which may be unique to your house.

The water temperature is warm rather than hot, as the surface temperature of your floor seldom needs to exceed 24°C to provide a comfortable living temperature. SunFlow® provides computer-generated plans of the tubing layout, to ensure the builder knows where the tube is located.

SunFlow® offers three types of tubing to be installed in concrete floors:

• SunFlow® labelled Polybutylene tube has been BRANZ appraised as being suitable for use in concrete floors

• Entran tubing from 'WattsRadiant' in the USA, has an Underwriter's laboratories listing. A particularly robust tubing, Entran can be used under wooden floors as well as in concrete (it is particularly recommended for large installations).

• SunFlow's cross linked polyethylene tubing (PEX) is from L.G in Korea and carries a ISO9001 rating.

The BRANZ Appraisal

On application, the Building Research Association of New Zealand will appraise the materials and the manufacturing process which goes into making up a system and product, to make sure that it will do the job which its is claimed to do, and that it can perform reliably for the time period claimed.

The SunFlow® Floor Heating System has been issued with a current BRANZ Appraisal  No.398(2001)
